General
Safety Orientation will be conducted at 10:00-Noon
on the dates listed below. This safety orientation
is required for all new employees who earn compensation,
including part-time, student, graduate student and
work–study.
Human Resources New Employee General Orientation is provided at 8:30-10:00 AM for all new employees. Call the Benefits Office at 4-4596 to register for the 1:00-3:30 PM benefits session (full-time staff only). Sessions are held in the Union Building.
All Sessions will be held in the
Roof Lounge located
on the sixth floor (take the South elevator to
the 6th floor).

| Biosafety, Bloodborne Pathogen and Lab Safety Training are provided to new employees who qualify according to the type of work performed or location of work. Biosafety is highly recommended for anyone using biohazardous materials in their research. These training sessions are provided on the 4 th Monday of each month from 9:30-11:30 AM. The Bloodborne Pathogens Program is required for all employees who may be exposed to human blood, body fluids or tissue. These training sessions are provided on the 2 nd and 4 th Monday of each month from 8:30-9:25 AM. The Lab Safety Program is required for all employees who use chemicals in a laboratory setting. These training sessions are provided on the 2 nd Monday of each month from 9:30 –11:30 AM. Following are the dates and times for Biosafety, Bloodborne Pathogens and Lab Safety training for 2007. All sessions will be held in the Roof Lounge of the Union Building. |
