General
Safety Orientation is provided as part
of the Human Resources New Employee General Orientation
every Tuesday on the dates listed below from 10:00
AM to Noon. This safety orientation is required
for all new employees who earn compensation, including
part-time, student, graduate student and work-study.
Human Resources New Employee General Orientation
is from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The Benefits session
for full-time staff is from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
Contact the Benefits office at 274-4596 to register.
All Sessions will be held at
the Campus Center, Room 148 (unless specifically
noted below):

Biosafety,
Bloodborne Pathogen and Lab Safety Training
are provided to new employees who qualify according
to the type of work performed or location of work.
Biosafety is highly recommended
for anyone using biohazardous materials in their research.
These training sessions are provided on the 4th
Monday of each month from 9:30-11:30 AM. The Bloodborne
Pathogens Program is required for all employees
who may be exposed to human blood, body fluids or
tissue. These training sessions are provided on the
2nd and 4th Monday of each month
from 8:30-9:25 AM. The Lab Safety Program
is required for all employees who use chemicals
in a laboratory setting. These training sessions are
provided on the 2nd Monday of each month
from 9:30 –11:30 AM.
Following are the dates and times for Biosafety,
Bloodborne Pathogens and Lab Safety
training for 2008. All sessions will be held
in the Roof Lounge of the Union
Building. |
